Here`s a super dope compilation from Sir Mix A Lot`s "Rhyme Cartel" Records. It features Seattle rap and R&B talent, including E Dawg, Kid Sensation, Mix A Lot, Jay Skee, 3rd Level, and Jazz Lee Alston.
Here is a great cd from Seattle`s own "Tillie" aka Janelle Hairston (now Janelle Hairston-Sager). It was self released in 1996 by Tillie. The album features production from Kenny "LaMar" McGowan, and beautiful vocals from Tillie, who covers Valerie Taylor`s "Why" as well as The Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes" (one 0f my all time favorite songs), while providing 12 tracks of her own written material. I believe the Hairston name caries some weight when it comes to Seattle music. I want to say that a member or members of the Hairston family, was/is a heavyweight in the Seattle rap/hip hop music scene.

Here is an awesome R&B / Soul cd from Tacoma Washington`s Gary Wyatt. It is a Christian cd, but is damn good. Non Christians will dig this cd too, guaranteed. Released in 1991 on Gary`s own indie label "Gold Glove Records". Gary is now a minister and runs a church. He has released many albums over the years, most of them can be purchased on his web-site, but this one is long out of print and super rare!
Here is a cool cd from E.F. Williams. I thought this cd was going to be horrible! I HATE POETRY! BUT the spoken word portion of this disc is actually pretty dope. E.F. paints a picture of gritty, Brooklyn street life. Topics range from love to crack to depression and struggle. As corny as it sounds, I can almost picture myself in NY in the late 80`s, trying to survive the ghetto. Half of the cd features spoken word type poetry (sorry I know nothing about poetry). The other half of the cd is filled with soul filled love songs, all of which have some pretty nice production.
Here is a super rare cd from "The Killer Bees". They were a sixties Motown "tribute" band. The Bees were a European group fronted by Belinda Blair, who was the lead vocalist of "The Rhythm Pygmies", and the San Francisco six piece swing band, "Jellyroll" (along with Killer Bee bandmate Steve Dekrone).
IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, this is a super tight independent cd from J. Moss (James Moss) of PAJAM fame. He released this 1994 on the Detroit indie label Aviday. It never was much of a success and never sold many copies. James went on to an amazing career in Christian Gospel, and is doing big things.
