Here is an awesome TAPE ONLY self release from "Kissin` Phyllis". These guys were from Pullman Washington. They had that classic Seattle grunge sound.
Super rare TAPE ONLY release, from The Halbrooks. I`m not sure on the year this one was released. I don`t know much about these guys. I hope someone out there can give me some info. Sorry I don`t have a playlist for this one, maybe I will make some sample tracks later on.
Released in 1992 on Red Letter Records, this project was Exec. Produced by Ruth Collingridge, who is a talented musician and author. With production by Scott Burnett, who worked with a ton of local acts, such as Sonya Kaye and Michael Rivers. Engineered by Seattle legend Charles "Messy" Meserole, who has worked with lots of Northwest artists, including Seattle rappers "Criminal Nation", "Sharpshooters" and "Zion", to name a few! Too many great artists to name.
Released in 1995 this "Chicago" progressive folk trio is now disbanded. The trio consisted of Anthony Burton, Jamie Fillmore, and Caitlin Strokosch. Jamie Fillmore most notably went on to take over guitar duty in Cheer Accident, and now is in the band My Canadian Girlfriend. Strokosch went on to run the "Alliance of Artists Communities". 
A great blues cd from James Barton Jett and his band "Lightnin` Strikes Twice". Great artwork on the cover borrows a Seattle Times newspaper photo, and shows a huge lightning storm "striking" Seattle. Great blues music sure to satisfy any fan of the genre!
This is the original 1992 SEA Records release. I believe it may have been re-released later on.
Here is a super rare gem from "The Nature Boys" a Samoan vocal group from Seattle, WA. I don`t have the cassette with me while I write this but I believe they released this TAPE ONLY album in 1993. The cd features a mix of smooth vocals, R&B style, and rap music. The boys have a youtube video, showing them singing "The Ring" at a family member`s 2008 wedding. Pretty cool that they stayed homeys for that long, and like the title of their tape, probably for life!
Founded by Brian Castillo, aka pFrenz-C, "Prayers For The Raven" was Seattle`s seminal Goth band. I believe they released "Sacred Ground" in 1996, and re-released it in 2005 complete with different artwork. Brian Castillo continues to make music from Olympia, Washington, while keyboardist and former frontman of "Faith & Disease continues to work with his band "Shadow Light" which he formed in 1993.
Here is a great cd from Seattle`s own "Tillie" aka Janelle Hairston (now Janelle Hairston-Sager). It was self released in 1996 by Tillie. The album features production from Kenny "LaMar" McGowan, and beautiful vocals from Tillie, who covers Valerie Taylor`s "Why" as well as The Doobie Brothers "What A Fool Believes" (one 0f my all time favorite songs), while providing 12 tracks of her own written material. I believe the Hairston name caries some weight when it comes to Seattle music. I want to say that a member or members of the Hairston family, was/is a heavyweight in the Seattle rap/hip hop music scene.
Here is a great garage/psych cd featuring psych rock legend Sky Sunlight Saxon. Though not his greatest work, it does please even the biggest early Sky fan. 10 tracks, though the liner notes say 11, the 11`th track "Dying Butterfly" does not appear on the album. This album includes 2 redone Seeds` tracks, "Mr. Farmer" and "No Escape", both of which were pretty damn good, to my surprise. Anyway, it is a solid effort for a somewhat newer garage release.
Here is one for the kiddos. An educational sing along cd from "Michiko". She describes her work as "Real Life Experience Songs For Children and Parents". This cd would be great for someone with young kids. Also, a great cd for a daycare owner or a school teacher. 14 fun and educational songs!
D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N. stands for "Dedicated Exciting Christians In Service Inspiring Our Nations". They were a group of 8 young men from the Bahamas.
Cyndi Lauper`s "Time After Time", what can I say?
Now, I consider myself to be a pretty manly dude, but I gotta admit Time After Time is a fucking killer song.
The Bedheads were founded by 3 guys who grew up together in Moscow, Idaho.
Seattle/Pullman, WA, he released this cd independently in 2004, and another titled "The Instigator" in 2005. 17 Songs. His cd artwork bears the logo of the local "Rebelz" clique, so he is affiliated with them.
Released in 1997, this is a killer demo tape from the Chicago based punk band "The Cynix", fronted by Aaron Cynic. The band had a nice local following, I believe this 4 song demo tape was the only material that the band recorded. The band didn`t last long, they split up, and the guys went on to play parts in all kinds of Chi-Town punk bands.
Self released in 1995, this is an A Cappella classic, that most don`t know about. 5 brothers make up this group, they ranged from the ages of 17 to 25.
They have played all over the country and have even been on national television, when they performed in Hawaii. They have won awards and played festivals all over the United States, especially the Pacific Northwest, opening for acts such as Lonestar, Manhattan Transfer, All 4 One, and more.
Now known as "Darling Thieves", I Hate Kate was fronted by Zebrahead singer Justin Mauriello. The band was forced to change their name when one of Justin`s ex-girlfriends "Kate" left an angry voicemail on his phone in 2010, claiming she would sue the band for using her name.
An awesome female-fronted rock band from Olympia Washington. 
An awesome vocal cd from Don Stewart. Don covers a bunch of songs from "Wichita Lineman" to "Dancing In The Dark". Self released in 2004, Don has a great voice and really shines on the smooth jazz tracks.
The Tubbs Family, legendary gospel singers. Released in 1993 on Nashville, Tennessee`s Hearthside Records.

This is a strange, yet cool Rock/Rap or Funk cd. I am actually not sure what you would call this genre, but this is a cool cd. I have no information about this band, so if you, please leave me a comment. I would love to know more about them!
Sicklid was a badass band! I had heard their name for years, but had been unable to find this cd until recently. I am glad that I finally got lucky!

Squirt was formed in 1990 by Dick Rossetti and Electric Vee Vee Roark. They later picked up MC Nelson, he played until 1994, quit, and Dick Rosetti jumped to skins. Marsh Gooch' played briefly on second guitar in 1992, when he left the band picked up Eric "The Swede" Olson . The Swede, Rosetti, and Roark recorded this record. It is said to be their "masterpiece". They fell apart after a meltdown by "The Swede" at RKCNDY in 1995. Rosetti later DJ`ed on Seattle Rock station 107.7 The End.
SLAYERS TRY TREASURY☆VOX is a soundtrack full of theme songs and songs about characters from Slayers Try. Produced by King Records Company in 1997 it was distributed in the U.S. by Anime Trax. 
This is the original. It was later (1995) released as "An Open Heart", with a different cover and different tracklist.
Everett Washington`s own Jeff and Steve Ridler. These guys were a great country rock band that played all the "honky tonks" in Washington State (aka The Riverside).
Killer cd from Ohio`s "Glide". Released in 1995 on 5th Dimension Records. These guys never made it big, but was definitely on the verge! They still have a huge following all over the world!
Great rock cd. Even if you aren`t a Christian!
Lakewood Washington`s "Infernal Legion", formerly "Eviscerate" released this in 2001. I believe it was r-released in 2001 or later.

I don`t know much about "Cal Reid", I know that he lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and he passed away in 2004. I`m not positive, but I believe this cd to be a country music cd.
