Here is a great compilation from Purge Records, it was made to promote unsigned bands from Europe. I`m not sure if they made more, or just "Saucy". It features the bands Bitcual Circus, Chemikill, Lash, Sludge, Zen, Festive Road, Flat Cactus, Skulduggery, Hallucination Noise Station, His Boy Elroy, Manuskript, Primary, The Watercolours, Inchala, Badgeman, and Bleak.
Acappella’s 2nd album, it is made up of some classics. Formed in 1982, by Keith Lancaster. The group is still around, the members change from time to time.
Here is one that I don`t know anything about. The Trouser Trouts, from Spokane, Washington. I like their tunes, and I would think they had some type of following when they made this CD, but I haven`t found ANY info on them, anywhere. The band members were Kurt Sedlacek, Brian Moran, and Simon Lawrie. If you know anything about them, please leave a comment.
Southern rock from the great Northwest! This is the original release of "The Hard Way". Rebel Storm sounds like the Allman Brothers, or Lynyrd Skynyrd. This album got all kinds of praise, and was featured on all the southern rock sites and magazines. They have released a lot more material since, but I am not sure if they are still together or not.
Founded in 1974 Noel`s band still plays on, though he passed away in 1995. The band has been playing for over 30 years now. They have toured North America, as well as Ireland. This d was released in 1989, and features all the great Irish classics.
Houston Jazz group, founded by Bob Chadwick. The members always change, except for Bob. They played at Rudyards every Thursday. Not sure if they still do or not. At the time of this recording Harry Sheppard was playing with them. Nick Cooper decided to record when he saw this. Harry is a jazz veteran, and has played with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Doc Severenson.
A great band with a 30-year career, they have made music in over six languages and have collaborated with many artists including Carlos Santana and Talking Heads. They are huge in Africa and Europe, and are known for their activism in Children's rights and help for the homeless.
Two members of Olympia, Washington`s "Helltrout", Don Stewart and Jason Morales, formed "Migas" in 1997. This, I believe was their secons self release. They went on to release at least a couple more, and still play together. Don Stewart resides in Seattle now, but gets down to Austin to work with Jason occasionally.

Here is a super tight R&B cd from Hawaii`s Kolaboration Of Soulz. Dope G Funk sounds, from the duo made up of Jevan Pasley and Gerard Pizzaro.
Founded in 1982 the Knightingales are an a capella group from Northfield, Minnesota`s Carleton College. This was the first cd the group released, they have since released 6 more cds. On this one the `Gales cover Madonna`s "Like A Prayer", Smokey Robinson`s "Second That Emotion", and many more.
Joe Coughlin`s third recording. He sings his favorites, songs he has done numerous times, but he also does some new ones like Billy Joel`s "New York State Of Mind", and Ale Wilder`s "South To A Warmer Place". Joe has done it all, from jazz vocals, like the songs on Third Accession, to fronting the Ontario metal band "Whiteheet" back in the late 70`s.
Here is a great cd by Huffy. The band also went by the name Fused, as well as Punish Me Openly. Violent was released in 1996. They sounded a lot like early Korn stuff. I am not sure if they released any other material or not, but I believe they did. Members of Huffy are still active in the Pacific Northwest music scene.
This Lacey, WA band consisted of Jim Johnston and Michael "Smitty" Smith. I believe this is the same Jim Johnston that played with the late 70`s band "Jaugernaut", but I am not positive. Michael Smith has played with numerous South Sound bands, and currently plays with "Hurts Like Hell", a killer blues band.
Here is a classic bluegrass cd from Redwing. They were a killer bluegrass band. They released this on Pinecastle Records in 1991. It was later re-released, but this is the original 1991 release. The highlight of this band is the father/son team of Jerry and Kevin Williamson.
Here is a very rare gem from "Resistance". They were a Bellingham, Washington prog/goth rock band. They were fronted by Steve Leslie, with his brother Sam on bass, and Joe Flink on drums. This is the only material that they released.
Tony Wolf is a great Christian entertainer. He has done everything from rap music to stand up comedy. Tony has shared the stage with Christian heavyweights Newsboys, dcTalk, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, in other words EVERYONE!
A super rare cd from The Herricks, produced by the great Homer Joy. Great country music with a Christian touch. If you aren`t a Christian, don`t dismiss this, most wouldn`t even notice the God stuff.
Here is a strange band for you. These Canadians were making songs about going green before it was cool. If you like songs about saving the planet, and Al Gore type shit, this one is for you. I have no info on these guys, except for the bassist, Philip Gutierrez now plays in a Filipino band called "Sacred Mushrooms".
Stephen Lamson, Dennis Hancock, and Douglas Moore teamed up to make this great cd. These guys used their talent to help the March of Dimes, and other children`s charities. Great, positive music. The artwork has written descriptions of what each song was written about. Proceeds from this cd were originally donated to The March of Dimes.
Here is some Latin music, for anyone who is interested. Since I am a poor white boy from a small hick town, I don`t know a whole lot about Latin music. With my VERY limited knowledge of Latin music, I will say that this sounds like "Gypsy Kings" to me. Though, I am probably way off.
I have so much music, I can`t listen to it all. Rarely, while ripping a cd, I hear some of it, and find myself a new favorite song or band. It makes me wonder how many killer bands and songs I pass up, w/out a listen. This is one of those that I accidentally heard and it kicks ass! My untrained ear hears Tool, during the Opiate/Undertow days.
Here is the original 1997 release of The Townley`s "Riding The Wind". It was re-released years later, but this is the original release. 10 songs, including covers of the song "I Refuse These Chains" by Rev. Jeremy Shields and the songs "No Longer A Sinner" and "I`m Leaving" by Rev. Ben Weeks.
Here is a very hard to find cd from a lesser known, but killer band from Tumwater, WA. The same place where Olympia Beer is made.
Here`s a killer cd from one of my favorite Seattle bands. It features 9 tracks, two of which feature guests. "Miss Manager" has backing vocals from "The Hitmakers", and "Dark As A Dungeon" has vocals from Christy McWilson, Seattle music royalty, who was part of the bands: The Picketts, Dynette Set, Young Fresh Fellows. The Cheap Ones have stayed busy, especially Clay Bartlett, who has played with a number of bands including The Supersuckers.
Scribble was a great band, from T-town Washington. As far as I know they never released any other material. They have a pretty original/unique sound, they somewhat remind me of Afghan Whigs. The cd features six songs, and when they end it leaves you wishing they would have made more! Fortunately, I can just listen to it again. It`s one of those albums that almost never gets old. Song #6 "Shut Up Hooker" is my personal favorite. It features a badass bassline, as well as killer drum work.
T.A.C.'s second release, they`re still together, and still havefans in Boise. On this cd they had Tom Keithley on guitars, Guy Finley on drums, and Joshua Crookham on vox/programming all are no longer members. In the past few years they have gained exposure through landing spins on MTV shows "The Pauly D Project" and "Viva La Crush".
Although I haven`t gotten any information on this one, thankfully Dee Austin`s music speaks for itself. Released in 1995 it features 10 great songs. I don`t know how she didn`t make it farther in the business, her songs sound like good solid early 90`s stuff from the genre. Anyway, listen to the samples below and see if you like it.
