FOGGY RIVER BOYS - Sing Album 8 (196? Branson, MO)

photo Foggy River Boys 8_zpsmxzfs2ug.jpg Here`s another one from The Foggy River Boys, from Branson, MIssouri. I apologize, but I can`t date the year of release, but I know their twelfth album was released in 1972, so I am assuming this one was out in the sixties. Album 8 was called "Sing" and it 1o songs on it, including "Bad Bad Leroy Brown", and "I Can`t Help Falling In Love With You". These guys are still around, and still playing shows.

There is one more Foggy River Boys album on the blog, you can see it here:

JIMMY SNYDER - Country (19?? Los Angeles, CA)

photo scan0002_zpsdshlgza7.jpg Here is one from the country legend Jimmy Snyder. I`m not sure what year this is from, as it doesn`t say. It looks to be a self release. It has 10 great songs If all the Magic Is Gone, Is There Any Chance, The Ice You're Walkin' On, I Need Help, The Lady Wearing Red's Turning Blue, I Need You To Hold Me Together, Mona Lisa, My Woman My Woman My Wife, Completely In Love With You, and She Believes I Can.
The list of artists this man worked with and the somgs he wrote for some of them is astonishing. He released his first record in 1961... Well there is too many accomplishments to write here.

CHASITY - Singin' For You (Kansas City, MO) CHASITY SNOOK JONES

photo Chasity WM_zpsyycflywr.jpg Here is a great tape only release from Chasity Snook (now Chasity Jones). I`m not exactly sure what year this one was released in, but I think it was probably late 80`s or early 90`s. The tape has 8 tracks of great vocals from Chasity, and instrumental work from her future husband Kevin Jones. As far as I know the Jones` still play events in Missouri, with their children and Kevin Jones` father.

I think they planned on releasing more volumes, but I believe this one was the only one made. It was released in 1991 and has 12 tracks, with songs from Brett Barrow, Deborah Lauren & Ian Eaton, Denis Grady, Marty Antonini, Dawn Hanson, Ivan Stover, Steve Bell, Russ Hale, Susan Tanna, Rocky McLoed, and Noreen Middleton.

BUDDY CHARLETON - Playing Silk (1993 Orange, VA) STEEL GUITAR

photo scan0043_32491986032_o_zps3fq5xcpv.jpg Here is a classic from the legendary steel guitarist Buddy Charleton. He released this one himself in 1993. It features a few classics from his Texas Troubadour days as well as a few originals from Buddy himself. Sadly, Buddy died in 2011, but for many years one of country music's pre-eminent steel guitarists with Ernest Tubb & His Texas Troubadours. He had a great career though, as he played with Patsy Cline, toured with Ernest Tubb, recorded with Porter Wagoner and Loretta Lynn and Jean Shepard, and was a Steel Guitar Hall of Fame inductee.

THE HARDINGS - Jim, Min, and Harold (1985 Yelm, WA) RARE - COUNTRY

The Hardings are a family from Yelm, Washington. If not, please comment so I can delete or change this blog post! Thanks. Anyway, here is a great cd ffrom The Hardings. Released in 1985 on Laurel Records, this gem features 12 great tracks. Although it was released in 1985, I believe that the songs were actually recorded during the 1970`s. The father of the family, Jim, started playing in the 1930's. He played radio stations in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He later formed "The Harding Family Band" in the 1970`s and they played all over the Pacific Northwest and Montana. The band was Jim, his wife Minnie, and son Harold.

TEXANS - Self Titled (198? Branson, MO) Christian - Gospel - TAPE ONLY

 photo d7d5bb8f-5b9c-4d62-b52a-5f9e45ae83c6_zps45c58332.jpg
The Texans began in 1971 as The Masters' Four; a full time traveling quartet. In 1983, they moved to Branson, MO and became known as The Texans. Since the artwork shows the band's address in Branson this must be from 1983 or later so it must be from 1983 or later, but I'm not sure exactly when. I also know that this was a TAPE ONLY release and never made it to cd. They are still performing today, although the line-up is different and many members have come and gone over the years. They have done shows with Christian heavyweights including Cecil Todd, TD Jakes, Jesse Duplantis, Jerry Falwell, Tim Lahaye, and many more.

If you would like this one in your collection, shoot me (Ken) an email\offer to insanelyraremusic@gmail.com and you will get a great deal!

EXILE - Something Good (1997 Richmond, KY) Country - J.P. Pennington

photo Exile_zpsjaz6rx9v.jpg I really don`t need to say much about these guys. They have been a band since 1963! This is a special cd from the "Six Pack: Six Great Hits" series, in which KRB/Sony Special Products released a line of cds from a number of famous country artists, that featured 6 of their best tracks. They are hard to find.
The 6 hits on this cd are, Woke Up In Love, High Cost Of Leaving, She`s A Miracle, I Don`t Want To Be A Memory, I Could Get Used To You, and I Got Love.

If you would like to own this cd, send me (Ken) an email to insanelyraremusic@gmail.com and I will set you up with a great deal!

THE JIM FINNERAN BAND - Presents Country Classics (19?? Seattle, WA) Country - Bluegrass

photo Jim Finneran Band_zpsojnex7di.jpg I am unsure of the year that this one was released, but I am guessing early to mid eighties. It features 9 great covers of classics! Jim Finneran and his band were a great little country cover band. They played shows all over the northwest, many times with Jim using his computer to play four instruments at once. The group did country and bluegrass, and were a good draw at local music festivals.

If you would like to own this rare one, send me (Ken) an email to insanelyraremusic@gmail.com and I will set you up with a great price!

ROB ONDRAS - Forever In Your Eyes (1987 Issaquah, WA) Country - TAPE ONLY

photo Rob Ondras 001_zpsxlfv9uws.jpg Issaquah, Washington`s own Rob Ondras. He quit school in the 11th grade to pursue his passion, he moved to Columbus, Indiana so he could be close to Nashville where he recorded this, his debut. Rob had help from Ira Allen, who wrote songs for Loretta Lynn, and Conway Twitty. Rob never made it "big" , but he managed to make a career of music as far as I know. Good for him!

If you would like to buy this gem, send me (Ken) an email. My address is insanelyraremusic@gmail.com and we will make you a great deal!
