VIRAGE - Changing Tides (1994 San Fancisco, CA)

Though I know little about this cd and band, I can say that I do like the music. Virage has a classic rock sound, and makes me compare them to Santana. This bay area band released this cd in 1994. It features 7 rockin` songs. I don`t believe the band lasted more than a few years before splitting, making this their only recording.

The band members were:

John Filstrup - Rhythm Guitars/Background vocals
Mike Borden - Drums/Percussion

BAD JUDGEMENT - High Performance EP (2001 Somis, CA)

Here is the 2001 "High Performance EP" from Somis, California "Bad Judgement". It features 7 nice tracks. Bad Judgement was started by Somis, California resident Pat Salisbury, when he was in junior high school. He continued the band throughout and past his High School years. The band, started out playing punk music, but their style evolved over time, until they ended with an Indie/Classic Rock sound. Bad Judgement finally called it quits in 2003. Pat now has a different band, I am not sure what happened to his former bandmates.

DUGAN FALLS - Fire (1994 Olympia, WA) LITTLE GREEN MEN - KIM WEBBERLEY

Here`s a great rock cd from "Dugan Falls". They were from Olympia, Washington, and featured Kim Webberley, who was also in the band "Little Green Men" (which is also on the blog), as well as a number of other Olympia area bands. The cd was self released in 1994 and has 7 great tunes.

JIMMY RICHARDSON - 1990 (1990 California) EAGLE FLIGHT RECORDS - FREEMASONS - MELODIC

Here is an ULTRA RARE melodic rock gem. It is a solo album from Jimmy Richardson. Richardson was a member of the `80s band "The Freemasons". This was released on Eagle Flight Records in 1990. I believe Jimmy owns that label. The cd features 16 killer tracks. The name of the album is 1990 and it was released in 1990. THE PLAINS - One Room (1995 Edmonds, WA) CLASSIC ROCK

Here`s one from the Edmonds, Washington band "The Plains". It was released in 1995 on Van Mar Music and it holds 10 tracks. To me they have a classic rock sound, but with so many different genres sometimes it`s hard for me to call it. I don`t know hardly anything about these guys, other than that they were produced by Mark Hibbert, who was in Pacific Northwest bands like, Axis Drive, Superband, Fat Chance and Merrilee Rush and The Turnabouts. MARSHALL COLTMAN - Peculiar Boogie (2002 Seattle, WA) CLASSIC ROCK

Here is a cool band with a great sound. The band is actually now called "Peculiar Boogie". In 2002 they were called "Marshall Coltman" which is a combination of two band members (Lisa Marshall and Rebekah Coltman) last names. As far as I know they are still making music under the band name "Peculiar Boogie". This cd was released in 2002 and holds 11 nice tracks. They have a cool classic rock sound.

JR. CADILLAC - All Nite Long (1986 Seattle, WA) Rock N Roll

Here is a tape only release from Seattle`s "Jr. Cadillac". Anyone who knows anything about PNW music has at least heard of these guys. They have been rockin` for over 46 years! SECOND WIND - This Old Man (2000 Shelton, WA) AOR - Rock

Second Wind is Mikey Les Taylor, Mike Allegri, and Ross Rutlege. They released this lesser known gem in 2000. 15 tracks of stripped down rock n roll. It's got a couple ballads, as well as a couple instrumentals. It was really refreshing to hear some straight ahead rock n roll, when the rock being released at that time was girly and lame.

THE BOYYS - Thunder Of Motion (1988 Seattle, WA) JON DALGARN - DAVID LANZ

Here is a great tape from The Boyys. This was released in 1988 on Woodmont Records. It features 11 great tunes, and features a guest spot from David Lanz. This was only released on cassette, and is impossible to find. I don`t know much about "The Boyys", but I do know that lead vocalist Jon Dalgarn now runs a program based in Bellingham, Washington called "Out Of The Ashes". This is a strange, yet cool Rock/Rap or Funk cd. I am actually not sure what you would call this genre, but this is a cool cd. I have no information about this band, so if you, please leave me a comment. I would love to know more about them!

THE RIDLER BROTHERS - Go Fishing - 1991 Everett, WA - Country Rock - RARE OOP

Everett Washington`s own Jeff and Steve Ridler. These guys were a great country rock band that played all the "honky tonks" in Washington State (aka The Riverside).

They toured all over the Western US. Great upbeat fun and clean tunes.
