Here`s a super badass demo tape from Seattle, Washington`s female fronted metal / rap band "Jackie On Aci". They made this demo in 1993, the same year the group formed. It has five rippin` tracks (Girlfriend, Christ, Mother, Wish, Secret Imaginary Hit Single). It was recorded at Mars Studio, and released by Microdot Records.

THICK RICHARD - No World Order - Spokane, WA - Nu Metal, Gangsta Rap, Funk

Here`s a strange cd from a band called "Thick Richard" from Spokane, WA. The release is called "No World Order", which goes along with their style! One minute they are rapping, the next minute they are rocking, the next minute the are playing banjo. I`m not saying this is a bad thing, they do have some good tunes (in my opinion).

LOCAL 808 - Self Titled - 1996 Seattle, WA - HARD ROCK - DROP SIX - RARE OOP

Here is the debut from the Seattle heavy rock band "Local 808", released indie in 1996, these guys had a huge following in the Pacific Northwest, and were on the verge of big things.

Members of the band later formed the band "Drop Six", another great Seattle act!

MALACHI CRUNCH - Self Titled - 1999 Seattle, WA - NU METAL - RAP/ROCK - RARE OOP

If you are a fan of Incubus, Rage Against The Machine, Deftones, etc., you will probably love this one. Released by the band itself in 1999, it is a nu metal classic (in my opinion). Don`t get them confused by the San Diego or Toronto bands, who carry the same name. These guys made a buzz in the NW, but kinda faded out. I don`t believe they ever made another cd, this one was a cd-r with the inserts on decent paper printed by a home printer. I don`t know the exact number of them that were made, but it can`t be many.

DA BONE TONES - Self Titled - 1996 Portland, OR - NU METAL - RARE OOP

Super rare cd from Portland, Oregon`s "Da Bone Tones". Self released in 1996. Drummer Michael Shain is the most known member of the band. Michael has recorded with guitar great  Frank Gambale of Chick Corea and Jean Luc Ponty fame, and current King of jam Band guitar players Jimmy Herring of Wide Spread Panic.  He has played live with Derrick trucks and Greg Allman, Dave Brubeck's "take Five" drummer.

"Da Bone Tones", was once voted "One of the best unsigned bands in America" by Musicians Magazine.

Jackie On Acid was an awesome female fronted rock band from Seattle, Washington. They were around with all the good old Seattle bands, in the thick of the scene. If you dig Seven Year Bitch and some of the other bands of the era you should like this one. Drummer Rob Dent is now in the Seattle power pop band Stag, which has a huge following.

SAC LUNCH - Debauchery - 1995 Spokane, WA - Thrash Funk Rap - TAPE RIP

Here is an almost unknown tape from Sac Lunch of Spokane, Washington. This band featured Brad Hull, from Forced Entry on guitar! This was never released on cd, and is absolutely impossible to find. This band didn`t last long, but they were pretty cool. Brad went on to play in THUG another rap band, and now plays in LSDiablo with his son Riley Hull, who rips the guitar like his old man!
